IntelliPort II/Plus driver 2.2.3
(release candidate)

Change History since 2.2.2:

2.2.2a:
Uses 2.1.2 Loadware to support Power RackPort
RS485/422/232 REX card.

Decreased silo count to reduce latency. No longer
necessary to patch space.c for certain dialers and
UNIX PPP.

2.2.2b:
Uses 2.1.3 Loadware which supplies additional information
to fip_report.

2.2.2d:
Fixes a bug seen with "modem" ports (e.g., ttyS00, ttyS01...):
Under some circumstances, if a process was waiting for
carrier, process would not be awakened when carrier was
asserted.

fip_report and driver updated to recognize latest products
including IP Plus EX, and to know which were capable of
speeds above 115,200.

Enlarged driver's internal receiver buffers.

2.2.2e:
To fix a bug whereby if one process is closing a port
while another is opening it, the driver could become
confused about whether the port were open or not. This
could ultimately lead to incoming data not being handled
properly.

2.2.2f:
In versions 2.1.x through 2.2.e the IntelliSet
option "NOFLUSH=Y!" did not work properly.
(Note: NOFLUSH=Y! prevents data which has been buffered
in the controller from being automatically flushed when
the port is closed. The close will proceed normally, but
data that had already been sent to the controller card
will continue to be sent to the port.)

2.2.3:
Identical to 2.2.2f except that the version number
is changed to reflect release status, and the
installation diskette is built using compression.
This makes the download image smaller than previous
versions, but does not affect the installation process.
